What a blessing it was to have Home Care Services of Columbus take care of my mom. Mom had around the clock care at home and she and I were very satisfied with the quality of care and the value received. Tim and Angie Hollis are very knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Being a part of the “Sandwich Generation” is hard. I wanted to care for my aging parents but still be able to live my life and continue the on-the-go lifestyle we’d been providing for our boys. I called it juggling elephants, trying to make it all work, and no matter which side I chose to dedicate time to, I always felt guilty. Tim and Angie Hollis and Home Care Services of Columbus helped me juggle my elephants. They met with us to understand our needs, got to know us as a family, and sent loving and caring people to help me with my parents and disabled brother. One of the caregivers became such a part of the family that we eventually rented her my parents’ house and she continued to visit my mom, after we had to move her to an assisted living facility. This was an act of love, not anything we paid her for.

Tim and Angie add such a personal touch to their service and they have stayed in contact with us even after my parents passed away. We started our relationship about 13 years ago and they still remember our children’s names and details that were going on with our family. That’s not just good business, that’s caring souls who really want the best for the people they help. Tim and Angie understand the “Sandwich Generation” because they are in it, and understood what I was going through.

I’ve always felt that taking care of my parents and my disabled brother was the right thing to do, because they are family and that’s what families do. They care for each other. Not everyone can do it, and there were lots of time that I didn’t think I could. It’s exhausting and frustrating and most people don’t understand how it changes the dynamics of your family life. Home Care Services helped keep our family dynamics as close to the same as possible while still allowing us to care for the people who needed us the most. I can’t imagine what I would have done without them.

My mother-in-law, Mary Bell Williams, was a fiercely independent lady who would demand that she be kept at home after a series of health issues necessitated a home service. Even at the age of 94 she was perfectly able to keep up with the Auburn Tigers, the Braves, and know what medications she was on. Angie and the staff of Home Care Services were able to fulfill her wish of staying home in such a seamless and caring manner! They were always on time, honest, and we never had a gap in care. It was nice to know that we could go out of town and not worry.
